After watching my 5 year old make great strides physically while adopting an "I Can" attitude, I decided that I was going to stretch myself outside of my comfort zone and take some classes. As a fitness instructor I am always looking for ways to challenge myself, after my first class I was not only challenged, I was hooked to the physical aspect, the art of taekwondo, and the passion that came through Jay Kang and Chief Master Kang while teaching their students.

"Since joining The Kang's ATA Self Defense School, we are delighted to notice a big improvement in our son Vijay and our daughter Veda with their self-discipline, positive attitude as well as their interest, motivation and performance at the Elementary School, and other extra curricular activities such as Piano, Art and Kumon classes. We can tell with our experience in Kentucky State, that Vijay and Veda now look forward very much to the Taekwondo classes, and it reflects highly on the quality of teaching at The Kang's ATA Self Defense School. In fact, we believe that our children are lucky to learn from such an excellent high level Number One World Class Champions such as the Chief Master Kang, the 8th Degree Black Belt, and Mr. Jay Kang, the 5th Degree Black Belt."

" My son started attending Kang's ATA at the age of four. I have watched him grow from a timid child, to shy to yell in class, to a confident "tiny tiger" with the loudest roar! Not only does Kang's ATA teach the art of Taekwondo but they also practice valuable life principles such as attitude, respect, perseverance and goal setting. I recommend Kang's ATA to anyone who is serious about investing in their future both physically and mentally. "

" Since my son, now 5 years old, started Tae Kwon Do at Kang’s ATA studio a year ago I have seen an incredible improvement in his attitude, his respect towards others and the effort he puts into doing anything he sets his mind to. Enrolling him in Tae Kwon Do is one of the best things I have ever done for him. The instructors are great with the kids and really know how to make class fun and teach important skills at the same time. I was so impressed with the skills my son was learning that I have become a member and now my son and I practice together."

"I enrolled my son at Kang’s ATA for many reasons. As a child with a chronic disease I was eager for him to have a positive experience that would help him further increase his confidence and self esteem. I wanted him to be involved in an activity that would teach him the principles I was teaching him at home, leadership skills, manners, strong work ethic, focus, as well as the importance of having a positive attitude all while doing something he enjoyed. I was looking for instructors that I understanding, yet strong with him. I couldn’t be more pleased with Chief Master Kang and Jay Kang. Their love for what they do is evident in every class as is their skill in the martial arts. They teach with stern guidance and patience while making it fun and exciting for their students. I was so impressed with the entire experience that my husband began taking classes at Kang’s ATA Studio."

"I moved to Elk Grove 4 years ago and was looking for a Tae Kwon Do school I felt would be great for my 2 boys. I wanted instructors that were professionally trained in Korea. At the time, Elk Grove didn’t have what I was looking for. This was the only sport my kids were interested in so I was hoping I would find a school soon. One day I received an advertisement from my kids’ school for Kang’s ATA Self Defense. I met with the instructor the first day and was very impressed. He and the school had everything I was looking for. I had a good feeling about enrolling my kids here. I have always taught my kids good values at home but I wanted them to experience something they could continue with in life. The values they learn in class are what we reinforce at home. The kids look up to the instructors and have such great respect for them in so many ways. My kids always look forward to TKD class and can’t wait to learn more things. My oldest son, Matthew, is 7 and has always been a very bright, sensitive, big hearted, but shy boy. He needed more confidence in himself. Since taking TKD, he has built so much more confidence and has really broken out of his shell. Everyday is a new day for him and he loves and enjoys every moment in class. It has helped him socially and emotionally. He always feels a sense of accomplishment when he does well in class. My youngest son, Jason, is 5 and has so much confidence and is always a positive person. But, he needed a little discipline. He talks too much because he loves people. He has learned that there is a time to talk and a time to focus. What I like about Kang’s ATA is that the instructors will discipline appropriately. Jason has done very well in class and has brought what he knows to the outside world. He wants to be just like the instructors one day. I have been very pleased and impressed with the instructors at Kang’s ATA. They not only bring their professional skills to our kids but are very encouraging and work so well with the kids. They are kind, gentle, and inspiring. My kids have benefited tremendously from their training and so have we as parents. We are so proud and know they will benefit them in anything they decide to do in the future."

" I have 3 girls in Kang's ATA, one in Tiny Tigers, 2 in Karate For Kids, and they love being there. My 4 year old brings home her instruction in the form of "Yes Ma'am!" to my requests, my 7 year old tries harder in school so she can earn her star report, and my 12 year old's focus has improved greatly. The patience of the instructors at Kang's is amazing! My 4 year old doesn't always want to be there, but they are always patient with her. We are very happy we put the kids into the school, and are trying to find a way to join the Adult class ourselves, which will make 5 of our 6 family members part of Kang's ATA, and when the baby is old enough, she'll join too!
